The Korean Society of Dental Hygiene has been conducting numerous academic activities for dental hygiene education, research, and dental hygiene practice for the past 20 years since its foundation in 2000.
The Korean Society of Dental Hygiene has grown remarkably with the devoted efforts of past presidents, executive directors, and your sincere support.
The 10th executive directors will gather the passion and wisdom to promote and vitalize dental hygiene education and research that can respond to rapidly changing science and technology and social culture.
We will rewrite the history of dental hygiene by commemorating the 20th anniversary and publishing 20 years of history in 2020 and focus on finding the directions and strategies for academic development.
Further, we will pay more attention to the standardized curriculum for the training of dental hygienists with core competencies, research on dental hygiene certification evaluation system, convergence research between dental hygiene and interdisciplinary science in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and strengthening the capabilities of researchers. We ask for your continued support and participation.
We will do our best for the Journal of Korean Society of Dental Hygiene, which has grown steadily as a registered journal of the National Research Foundation of Korea since its first issue in 2001, to be continuously recognized as an excellent journal and listed as an international professional journal.
The Korean Society of Dental Hygiene will play a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining oral health for humankind by becoming a network for freely communicating and sharing academic achievements and valuable experiences.
The history of dental hygiene is what all of you make. I wish for the Society to participate and grow together.
